It was exactly a year ago that I was really feeling my lowest. I hated how I looked, had no energy, was eating badly and generally felt stressed out and lethargic all the time. I knew I needed to do gym but couldn’t face it. I finally decided I needed something to force me to do exercise. Having a PT would mean a booked in slot to do exercise so I reached out for recommendations on Facebook. Emily got in contact directly and wasn’t pushy and said she focussed on female fitness. I knew straight away that this would suit me as I didn’t want to feel judged. We initially had one session a week and Emily took time to learn about the areas i was unhappy with or had weakness in. Even exercises I hated, she worked into our routines so I didn’t realise I was doing them. I started feeling fitter and stronger, but wasn’t doing anything more than the one session a week which I knew wasn’t enough to see results. I didn’t have enough will power to do gym on my own but loved the workouts with Emily. She does such varied sessions and listens to how I am feeling. She knows when I’m felling stressed or hormonal or tired and adapts the sessions to suit. I knew I needed to do more and really enjoyed my PTs so decided to up it to 2 sessions a week. A year on and I now train 3 times a week. I feel like I see the change in me and people are even complimenting me so I know it’s paying off. I am driven to eat better, I have more energy, I feel stronger and even if I miss a session I now have the will power to make up for it at the gym. Can’t recommend Emily enough just for the sheer fact her sessions have helped my mental wellbeing and made me feel better about myself!

I met Emily at the beginning of the year when I finally decided to take the leap into getting fit. I had just turned the big 3 0 (!) and had a realisation that I needed to sort myself out by getting healthier and fitter. I have a very demanding job and have always found it hard to ‘fit in’ exercise to my daily routine and to be honest, didn’t really enjoy exercising or going to the gym. So after thinking I needed to make a few changes, a friend recommended Emily. I messaged her and she responded straight away and I started PTing with her initially once a week. I was quite apprehensive at first as I had never had a PT before and I worried that I’d look unfit or didn’t really know what I was doing. But as soon as I met Emily, she made me feel at ease and incredibly comfortable. Her easy-going attitude, positivity and friendliness meant my first session was a success and I knew she was the right PT for me. So I started training weekly and she really listened to what my goals were and what I wanted to achieve and made me feel like we are a team - so I then began training with her twice a week. I can now honestly say that I love working out and that’s all because of Emily. She always pushes me to do more and I absolutely love how she varies our workouts so they are never the same. I’m so pleased with how far I have come in the last few months and that is all down to Emily. She has made me have a positive relationship with exercise and being healthy and I see this now as a life-long plan. I would recommend Emily to anybody that needed a bit of a boost in confidence or wanted to start their ‘exercise journey.’ She is the loveliest person and really knows what she is doing. I was at a really low point before I met her and she has not only made me feel better about my body but also my mental well-being. I know this might sound a bit cheesy but meeting Emily has honestly changed my life and contacting her has been the best decision I have ever made.

I have been working with Emily now since beginning of January (8 months ago). I had previously struggled with many failed attempts to improve my fitness and weight and as I was planning to get married at the end of August this gave me the motivation to do something positive. When I met Emily I was nervous, but she listened to me and discussed my short and long term goals. Emily encouraged me and gave me good tips especially on how to push through some impossible exercises. Now I am much happier, a lot stronger and more confident. Emily is professional, fun and honest.
